Description
Available now is this stunning 1974 Jensen-Healey MKII Roadster. This is a rare chance to find and own a properly sorted Jensen-Healey as these are becoming harder and harder to find. This particular example is dressed in proper British racing green over an all black interior. What makes the Jensen-Healey special to us is what power unit it is hiding under the hood of this sleek convertible roadster. It was powered by the 145-hp, 16-valve, 2-liter Lotus 907 twin-cam engine that was fitted to the Elite, and it had a 7,000 rpm redline. By way of comparison a TR6 of the same period offered only 105 hp and the MGB barely 80. Top speed was approximately 125 mph, with 0-60 coming up in 8 seconds, and a quarter mile in 16 seconds. This Lotus power plant is controlled by the 4-speed manual gear box. After completing a shift, you can put your hands back on the custom wood grained Nardi steering wheel to steer around one chicane after another. This car has just a bit over 64,000 original miles and appears to be well kept. This Jensen-Healey starts up and drives well and would be a perfect answer to those sporting a Triumph or MG in your local car shows.
